Slate PLA Filament - Local origin and durability
Francofil's Slate PLA filament is an eco-friendly, local choice for your 3D printing projects. It is compatible with most printers using non-proprietary filaments, offering a versatile solution. This filament is made from waste from the Angers slate quarries, which are now closed. Each stage of slate production generated unusable materials, which are now recycled by the Pays de Loire public works sector. To guarantee trouble-free printing, the slate particles have been carefully ground to a size of less than 250 µm, minimizing the risk of disturbances in standard nozzles. Our PLA filament is of bio-sourced origin and contains no endocrine disruptors, ensuring your peace of mind when using it. WARNING: For prolonged and recurrent printing, depending on the machines used, we recommend the use of a steel nozzle for optimum durability. In the event of occasional clogging of your nozzle, we recommend increasing it to 0.6 mm to solve the problem. It's important to note that the color of the filament may vary slightly from one batch to the next due to the natural nuances of the slate waste used, adding an authentic touch to your creations.
